Worship Team Covenant |
Cottonwood Heights Church |
| |
The worship team members of Cottonwood Heights
Church have created and agree to follow a list of values that they believe
to be important as they relate to our ability to function as a healthy team
of worship leaders. From the comments they shared, a list of covenant statements
has been created below. Our goal would be that each of us would commit and
uphold these values in order to protect the health and spirit of our team
body. |
As a member of the Worship Team I covenant and uphold the purposes of
the team by:
- Staying focused on our purpose, which is to bring glory to God through
our participation in worship. (Psalm 92:1-2)
- Willingly share our gifts, with a servant attitude, to help prepare
the hearts and minds of the congregation for worship. (II Corinthians
8:5, John 3:30)
- Taking responsibility, through prayer and practice, to be prepared
for rehearsals and services. Strive for excellence; it’s what
God deserves! (I Chronicles 25:7)
- Demonstrating respect to my teammates by coming to rehearsals prepared,
on time, and when scheduled. (Philippians 2:2)
- Supporting the members of the worship team through prayer and encouragement.
(I Thessalonians 5:11) (Ephesians 4:2&3)
- Remaining open to input and guidance from worship team members. Be
flexible!
(Hebrews 13:15-17)
- Living a life of integrity, both inside and outside of church that
represents Christ to others. (I Corinthians 10:31)
- Carrying myself with an attitude of humility and honor no matter
what my position may be on the team. (I Corinthians 12:22-26)

Worship is…
Our response, both personal and corporate,
To God- For who He is! and what He has done!
Expressed in and by the things we say and the way we live. |
