This evening, our last service in 2008, will include the celebration of the Lord’s Supper.  The offering is for Christian Reformed World Relief.

Prayer & Praise
  • Happy Birthday to Marian Kuiper on Saturday, Jan. 3.
  • Willis Timmer had a heart catheterization done on Monday. They put in a stint and there were complications, but he was able to come home on Wednesday.
  • Jack Essenberg had some tests done on his back this week.  They have a follow-up appointment tomorrow and will know then what the course of treatment will be.  Pray that he has relief from pain and renewed strength.
  • Ron De Good has been experiencing more chest pain and discomfort.  He will have another heart catheterization done on January 5.  Pray that they get good results.
  • Continue to pray for healing and strength for:  Nedene Bearss (for a kidney match), Paul Hendriksen (following heart surgery) Mary Huizinga, Stephanie Tovey.

  • Thank you to all of you who have been bringing in your pop cans/bottles for our summer youth group trip.  So far we have raised over $100 from it.  Please remember to continue to bring in those pop cans, they help us out a lot. - Cory

Ladies our next Beth Moore Bible Study:  Esther:  It’s Tough Being a Woman will begin Tues. (7 pm) & Wed. 9:15 am) Jan. 13 & 14. If you would like to attend, please sign up in the narthex.
Mission India Devotional Day Planners – are available at the Welcome Center.  Please take one home with you.   There are some very good daily devotions in the calendars along with scripture reading guides, verses for the day, etc.  These planners come highly recommended.  If we run out, we can get more by next week.
We will be hosting a Blood Drive here at Cottonwood on Thursday, January 22, from 3-7 pm.  Plan to come and give the gift of life.
The Twilighters - (formerly known as Seniors 55++) Rev. Dale Cooper will share his trip by tractor to Iowa on Thurs. Jan.15.  Watch the Bulletin for more details.
